For 2 1 2 shutter blinds place the holddown pin 1 4 closer to the back of the bottomrail. Installing cellular shades or honeycomb shades is a great way to add color and light control to a space. This is where you will drill holes for the screws that hold the brackets. Holding each bracket on the pencil lines place a dot inside the bracket holes.

With the hold down brackets attached to the bottom rail lower the blinds to the hold down bracket mounting surface and mark the bracket locations. Mark the window top at the edges of the brackets with a pencil. Once the window blind head is in place you can easily pull the blinds down and put them back up as needed.
