I m using the drill bit size called for with the anchors.

In most cases these bath accouterments will be mounted using wall anchors so getting through the tile is only part of the job.
You will hear a distinct difference between the hollow sound of drywall and the solid sound of drywall over a stud.
If i try to pound it in with a hammer the anchor just breaks.
With drywall the anchors are able to bite into the wall some but they can t do that with tile hence they don t fit.
A smaller or larger anchor screw will simply cause the screw to either break the tile or fall from the anchor.
Hammering softly will decrease the chance the tile will be vibrated enough to crack the tile s joints.
The anchor screw should be the same size as the screw you will be using.
Seems t me although i don t install urinals your actual best bet is to remove a few tiles cut into the wall and install a proper backerboard.

Locate and mark studs by lightly rapping on the drywall above the tile.

Step 3 installing the anchor screw.
Ceramic tile drill bit with 4 units of 80lbs wall anchor.
Place the anchor screw in the pilot hole.
But with the tile after i drill the hole the anchor won t fit into it.
Tap lightly with a hammer as needed to set the anchor into the wall.
Remove only tiles that won t show anyway you can make your backer board 3 4 plywood longer than the hole you ve provided then just slide it in and adjust.
Drill all of the holes needed then tap an anchor into each hole driving it flush to the surface.
The anchor will be flush with the tile once fully inserted.
Be careful to strike the anchor cleanly with your hammer since a miss may crack the tile.
