Granite seams will never be invisible but if you cannot see the granite seam from the entry point of the kitchen and have to look from above the area to actually point out the seam you have a great granite seam. Seam quality in picture to right is unacceptable color and pattern the color and pattern selected can make a difference as to the appearance of the seam. Most are less than 10 feet wide. You don t need any special cleaners here just plain clean water.

Even back beveling the seam edge and dressing it by hand with a 100 grit resin pad will work in the hands of a skilled fabricator. Marble and granite slabs are generally not wider than 10 or 11 feet. But in some cases they re inevitable. They sell granite repair kits on amazon that do wonders to fill in seams as well as any chips you might get.

In a perfect world there would be no seams. There are multiple factors affecting the final look of the seam. A seam is where two pieces of stone come together to make a transition. If one of these factors does not play out well your seam will be visible.

Another option developed by my friend chris checketts is gluing corian strips to the granite before cutting the seam on the saw. Well seams are where two pieces of countertop material are joined together. At rock with us we do our best to minimize the number of seams and we also work to make them as invisible or inconspicuous as possible. With your style granite the seam can be nearly invisible because you re not stuck with a movement problem.

Dressing the seams on a cnc is a good option for those that have this technology. Don t be fooled not all granite seams are created equal. Seams in your granite tops are inevitable to get continuous runs of countertop out of material that is limited in length. A seam in granite and quartz countertops will always be something that you can both see and feel.

Wipe down the granite edges with a slightly damp cloth. Starting with level cabinets will also minimize the amount of shimming the installers will have to do to create nearly invisible seams and a good installer can adjust for slightly out of level cabinets to achieve the nearly invisible seam you deserve. Just search granite repair kit and pick the one you like. Grab a soft clean lint free cloth and dampen it lightly with water.

If done properly this transition should flow and be nearly invisible or else it can be very obvious.
