Granite is better rune i would reccomend you use rune and spend the money you save on 60 defence.
Granite platebody is stronger but is over 2x heavier.
This causes it to become untradeable.
But of course you must also pay the price of looking like a meganoob.
Granite ls is stronger than the rune scim but try to get the leaf bladed sword or granite hammer instead.
To wear pieces of granite armour 50 defence and 50 strength are required.

The range defence is much better though 20 over rune.

They are dropped by gargoyles 75 slayer required which are in the slayer tower.
Even though it is seen as low level armour the granite body has superior defensive bonuses to a fighter torso by a good margin except the slash defence which is 1 lower.

Granite equipment is a set of equipment made from granite.
Then buy yourselfe some nice dragon armour.
The granite body is the most commonly used piece of the granite armour set as it is the only one that provides higher bonuses in every stat over its rune equivalent the rune platebody.
The best armour is the ones with good strength bonuses.
I m pretty sure rune is better than the other pieces in everything except ranged defence which granite is pretty high in oh ya im super angry i could just go out on a rampage right now and eat cheese puffs mmmm.
The granite maul is a two handed melee weapon that requires 50 strength and attack to wield.
